The Mighty Men Adventure
The Mighty Men Adventure is an annual men’s (18 and up) trip to Montana led by Chris Hartenstein (Co-founder of TNF) and Brandon Schaefer (Coach and Author with The Five Capitals) . Over ten days, we step into intimacy with God and explore our stories after discovering our true identity. Men engage in various activities such as, hiking, horseback riding, calibration, story/teaching sessions, and wound discovery/healing. All of these experiences create a highly relational environment where you can step into your identity and story with confidence and community.
Who am I? Why Am I Here?
How Do I Live? Where Do I Belong?
Every man searches for but struggles to find satisfying answers to these deep, heart questions. Like hats, we’ve tried on different solutions; none seem to fit quite right. WHY? We don’t know, and if we are honest, we don’t want to know. As a result, we race through life clinging to flimsy identities, void missions, immoral codes, and unfulfilling communities. When each chapter of our story ends, a deep emptiness remains; we long for more, but nothing truly offers life at its best. Where can we find unchanging, satisfying answers to these questions?
We need to go to the only trustworthy, unchanging Source.
A good, powerful, and purposeful Author is writing this grand journey we call “Life.” He created and knows us like no one else and desires to give you “Life” at its best. But, despite popular opinion, he never intended for you or me to “figure it out on your own.” He wants to walk with us in intimate relationship.

Through intimacy with God, we can...

Walk on a Firm Foundation
“Identity is the trailhead of life’s journey because our mission, community, and code flow from who we are.” If we want to live well, we need to find an unchanging answer to “Who am I?” We believe "I am a beloved son" is that foundational answer. Through a relationship with our good-hearted, heavenly Dad, we can learn why we are here, where we belong, and how to live life.
Understand Our Stories
Our stories are balls of thread: chaotic, unending, and confusing. But confusion doesn’t have to have the final word. Our heavenly Dad wants to walk us through our stories and unveil the wounds, agreements, and strongholds that keep us from living life at its best. He wants to heal, nurture, and mature us as sons into the men he created us to be.
Know How to Live Each Day
Culture says life is about doing. It pushes men to perform in work, school, and relationships. But no man finds deep satisfaction in this. Life as a son shifts our perspective: “As I learn to be and live as a son, I become a real man.” To "do," we must first learn how to "be." Intimacy with your heavenly Dad gives us everything we need to know how to take the next step on our path.
The Mighty Men Code

The Mighty Men adventure to Montana is only ten days. In the grand scheme of your life, that’s minuscule. We don’t want this to “just be a trip you took once.” We want to help you cultivate real-life change in your story, so we’ve created four waypoints for you to go through on our app. Including the adventure to Montana, you will go through five waypoints.
As part of “The Code” for this trip, we require you to participate before and after the adventure. Participation includes reading four books, spending time alone in calibration, meeting with other participants to discuss your calibration answers, and attending two to three required Zoom calls.
Though we require you to commit to this Code, this isn’t a task for you to complete but a path for you to walk. Participating is about intimacy with each other and your heavenly Dad. Committing to this Code shows us that you are all in for what God has and all he may do in your life as you step forward.
You will only get out of this what you choose to put into it.
